Dying today, I find sleep in my chrysalis
Remembering, the words are all I’ll keep in this
Naked I came, naked I leave, but bless’d always
Many more days, and the final vision delays
I wait for life, here in cursèd soil, wrapped snuggly
Sans eyes, sans strength, not a thing to deliver me
Till the finishing stroke, till the earthy tomb breaks
When Christ’s light dawns, and my new flesh, in glory, wakes.
